Light, Dignity, and Safety

This is a picture of a young man sleeping on the ground. When Light in my City found him, he had nothing more than a tarp for warmth. It may have been a beautiful day in Pittsburgh, but temperatures continue to drop into the 20's at night. We stopped and talked with him. We found out that all of his belongings were destroyed during the heavy rains last week.

Light in my City's motto is to provide light, dignity, and safety. We gave him a tent for shelter - a basic necessity and source of privacy. We supplied him with a cold weather sleeping bag, a LuminAID lantern for light, new winter boots, socks, hand warmers, food, and water. He was so very grateful.

Light in my City will continue to provide light, dignity, and safety to our homeless Pittsburgh neighbors. Please consider supporting our mission by visiting: https://www.lightinmycity.org/how-can-i-help
