For many of us, hospitality includes offering a morning cup of coffee to guests. Light in my City was grateful for the hospitality shown to us this weekend. With snowflakes in the air, a homeless Pittsburgh neighbor put water on to boil, and generously offered us a cup of coffee as well as a chance to warm up next to his small fire. He was thankful for the LuminAID lantern, FosPower emergency radio, and body wipes that we delivered, but was even more grateful for the conversation. He shared that he hadn't had a conversation with anyone in three days. We talked about family, future goals, and concerns. It's amazing the difference that can be made in someone's life while simply sharing a cup of coffee.
