Homelessness does not always look the same. Light in my City has helped people living under bridges, in alleys, on park benches, in abandoned buildings, and this weekend - people living in an abandoned car. As the weather is getting cooler (and the car windows do not shut), we supplied sleeping bags and blankets for warmth. We provided LuminAID lanterns for light, dignity, and safety, and FosPower emergency radios for weather reports, news, and music. Light in my City had a wonderful conversation with these two individuals, and we all got to know each other better. It was a pleasure to meet these polite and very thankful homeless Pittsburgh neighbors.
