Compassion

"Sometimes my cup is empty. Sometimes it overflows. When it overflows, I help other homeless people." Those are the words that my homeless friend (pictured) shared with me on Sunday. He only had a few coins in an old coffee cup that day. We sat and talked for about fifteen minutes, sharing reasons why life is good. I am thankful that Light in my City was able to provide light for him, but also so very thankful for the honor of getting to know this truly kind and compassionate man.
