Light. Dignity. Safety.
Today, Light in my City was able to provide the dignity of listening to our hometown football team. We were blessed to get to listen to part of the football game (using one of the AM/FM lanterns distributed) while visiting our homeless neighbors at one of the camps on the Southside. In addition to passing out lanterns today, we were also able to distribute all weather flashlights to very thankful recipients. With the days getting shorter, the lanterns are appreciated for the light and entertainment they provide, while the flashlights are so appreciated while on the go. You can see the Pittsburgh pride of our homeless neighbors displayed from the steel girder of a Pittsburgh bridge.
