Supporting Pittsburgh Neighbors
Light in my City handed out FosPower emergency radios this weekend to help keep our homeless Pittsburgh neighbors aware of the dangerous dropping temperatures.
We were also able to provide a young woman with a tent, sleeping bag, blankets, water, LuminAID lantern, and a GearLight flashlight. We are so thankful to have been able to provide a degree of shelter from the dangerous cold.
Finally, Chip (an amazing new friend to Light in my City) acquired wooden pallets to provide firewood for camp burn barrels. He cut it all up, delivered it with us, and even unloaded it with the camp residents. A huge thank-you for that amazing, and tremendously important, act of kindness!
