Thankfulness

Writer's picture: lightintheburghlightintheburgh

Thankfulness. Today, on Thanksgiving, we pause to give thanks for our homes, our health, and for our families.

But what about those who do not have a home, who may not be in peak health, who have no family?

Light in my City conveys to our homeless Pittsburgh neighbors that they are cared about and loved - by consistently showing up for them.

We continue to provide LuminAID solar lanterns to light their darkness, tents and sleeping bags to keep them warm and dry, FosPower emergency radios to alert them to weather changes, and conversation to let them know that they matter. Sharing a handshake, a hug, a laugh - relationship building - is certainly a gift to be thankful for today.

As we contemplate all that we have to be thankful for, please consider donating to Light in my City as a way to be a blessing to those in need
